Fabio Balsamo

Fabio Balsamo is a researcher in Ecclesiastical and Canon Law (SSD IUS/11) at the University of Naples Federico II since 2021. He holds a national qualification as Associate Professor in the same field (2020). He earned his Law degree with top honors (2009) and a PhD in International Order and Protection of Individual Rights (2013) at the University of Naples, focusing on ecclesiastical legal entities. In 2015–2016, he was a research fellow at the University of Calabria, studying church-mafia legal issues. Balsamo has postgraduate diplomas in Vatican Law and Ecclesiastical Institution Management from LUMSA University and has participated in advanced international programs on religion, diplomacy, and social issues in the Mediterranean. He is also committed to socio-political education inspired by Catholic social teaching.
