Saverio Campanini

Saverio Campanini is professor of Hebrew language and literature at the Department of History Cultures Civilizations of the Alma mater studiorum – University of Bologna, after having been Directeur de recherche at the Institut de Recherche et d’Histoire des Textes (CNRS) in Paris and Chargé de conférences at Section IV of the École Pratique des Hautes Études at the Sorbonne and, before that, Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the Freie Universität in Berlin. His research focuses on the history of Jewish mysticism, its academic study and its reception in the Christian sphere, particularly in the Renaissance.
