Giulio Sodano

Giulio Sodano is Full Professor of Modern History (M-STO/02) at the University of Campania “L. Vanvitelli,” where he is currently Director of the Department of Humanities and Cultural Heritage (DilBEC). He has taught in foreign universities. He has undertaken multiple strands of research on the history of ecclesiastical institutions and religious life in Southern Italy in the Modern Age, the history of pauperism and assistance in Naples between the 16th and 18th centuries, the birth and development of Mezzogiorno city identities, European aristocracies in international perspective and the monarchical institution in Europe.
