This project examines how the Kubrawiyya Sufi order reconstructed its authority and networks after the Mongol destruction of Konye Urgench in 1221, focusing on the post-collapse corpus of Saʿd al Dīn Hamūyeh (d. 1252). By analyzing his manuscripts and comparing them with those of other surviving Kubrawī disciples, the study aims to explore how Sufi knowledge adapted to diaspora, institutional loss, the processes of Mongol-era Islamization, and the shifting religious dynamics of the Mongol-Islamic borderlands.
